Echo Farms Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The golf course at Echo Farms Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1974. The course was designed by Gene Hamm. The course was redesigned in 1998 by Ian Scott Taylor. Ian's changes gave the course a more Scottish-links feel.
The golf course at Echo Farms Golf & Country Club offers challenge and enjoyment for all levels of golfing skill with four sets of tee placements providing play from approximately 5,000 to a little over 7,000 yards. The newly renovated greens to Tiff-Eagle Bermuda grass, are among the finest in the Cape Fear region. The course lies adjacent to the Cape Fear River and has been designed to utilize the natural features of the coastal terrain.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,071 yards. The course rating is 74.6 and the slope rating is 129. From the forward tees the course measures 5154 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 592 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 182 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 414 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Echo Farms Golf & Country Club is # 13, a 209 yard par-3.

Front nine harder than back nine, especially for ladies. The more times you play the course the better you will score.

steadily making improvements to course, but would benefit from kicking off the idiot who goes out in the first group or two every morning, and "scoops" his ball from the cup with his putterhead, basically messing up each and every cup for every player the rest of the day....must be the owner or his wife, and staff is afraid to say anything
